Recently Csaba Zongor presented new Membership Certificates to several entities who have been invited to join the Polish Hungarian World Federation.
December 11, 2017: Csaba Zongor welcomes Imre Szakal as a new member of the PolHuWF. We are happy to have Imre join us knowing he will be a great asset to the future of our organization.
Having revitalized the PolHUWF, we are fortunate to have had former members such as the PNA, PRCUA, Polish Museum of America, the Hungarian Society, various individuals etc. rejoin the Federation. We are also happy to have had new individuals and corporations accept our invitation to membership. Chicago Metal, IDEA Furniture, Northern Insurance, Star-Tech Glass, the PNA and the PRCUA already have a presence on our Website as Corporate Members and we plan an official meeting early in 2018 to welcome them and any other new members.
December 9, 2017: Matyas Gera, President of The Hungarian Society in Chicago is awarded a PolHuWF Membership Certificate by Csaba Zongor reaffirming the Charter Membership of that organization. This certificate was presented at a special program commemorating the life of renowned Hungarian Poet Janos Arany. Held at the Dole Library in Oak Park and organized by Judit Ludwig-Jánosy, this program was well attended by Hungarians and Americans. Featured guest speaker Dr. Zita Bencsik, Consul General of Hungary in Chicago, commented on the significance of the poet to Hungarian and European culture. Along with his important Hungarian works, Janos Arany is well known for translating noted Shakespeare Dramas into Hungarian.
November 3, 2017: Bogdan Bosak, owner of Chicago Metal Supply & Fabrication has also accepted a Corporate Membership which was presented to him on November 3, 2017 at 4940 W. Grand Ave. Chicago, IL 60639. Bogdan is an active leader and sponsor of various events in Polonia.
October 27, 2017: In 2018 our true work begins fulfilling our Mission through networking and close cooperation with such Affiliates as the Tatra Mountain Foundation. Bogdan Ogorek, President of the Tatra Mountain Foundation received his membership certificate from Csaba Zongor at the Highlander Day commemoration event held at the Polish Museum of America on October 27, 2017. In accepting the membership, Bogdan emphasized the value of the long standing special relationship between Poland and Hungary, how it has been maintained over the centuries and why we need to carry it into the future.
October 18, 2017: A Corporate Membership Certificate was presented to Tom Startek on October 18, 2017 at the Star-Tech Glass, Inc. corporate offices located at 1835 N. Major Ave; Chicago, IL 60639. Tom has been a long time sponsor of many events both Polish and Hungarian and is a valued member of Chicago’s Polonia. We are honored to welcome him into the PolHuWF.
